Club To Refresh Fan Engagement Strategy

The Club has confirmed plans to take a fresh look at how it engages with supporters with the formation of a new Official Supporters’ Group.

Over the course of the 2022/23 season, Moors have developed hugely both on and off the pitch as every aspect of the Club continued to expand.

We now boast a thriving and successful Youth Football Club, while the outstanding work of Moors in the Community has seen us connect with more people of all ages across the entire town and surrounding areas.

The Club is now looking at how we can revitalise the way in which we harness the crucial engagement with its supporters and are looking to establish a new Supporters’ Group which will be affiliated with Spennymoor Town FC.

The ambition of this drive will be to ensure we’re constantly finding ways of improving what we offer to our fans and enhancing the experience of Moors supporters, home and away.

We’re now welcoming applications from groups of supporters who are interested in becoming the driving force of this new initiative which will have the full support and backing of the Club to tackle issues such as official away travel, incentives for members and fundraising through various projects.

With full autonomy over how they are governed, they will be responsible for developing a Supporters’ Charter alongside Club officials, which will see us enhance and further strengthen our relationship with our fans.

Through activities such as fundraising, the group will assist in generating the revenue required to achieve sustainability through the Club, as well as coming up with new ideas and providing constructive feedback to make Spennymoor Town even better for everyone.

To apply, please email an expression of interest, and/or any queries, to [email protected].

Applications close on Friday 12th May after which they will be reviewed by the Club’s board.
