Michael Ledger and Corey McKeown are among the latest big names to sign-up to play in this Sunday’s Community Challenge Cup game at The Brewery Field.
The Moors First Team stars have agreed to pull on their boots one more time in 2022/23 to back this special friendly taking place at the weekend as we go all out to celebrate the coronation across the Bank Holiday.
Not only that, but Moors boss Jason Ainsley has also confirmed that he will be pulling on his boots and taking part in the event on Sunday!
And they aren’t the only headliners to be involved in the two squads, which are being managed by the Club’s Operations Manager Steve Jones and Community Development Manager Luke Cowie.
Former Moors star Gary O’Hara is going to be back on the hallowed turf on Sunday, while First Team Coach Lewis Dickman and Club legend Chris Mason will also be pulling on a shirt to play.
Former Middlesbrough man Mark Hudson is also set to star in the game, while Carl Beasley has also got the nod to join one of the squad and show off his skills this weekend.
The Community Challenge Cup match is only a part of our big coronation party on Sunday with doors to The Brewery Field open from 12noon – entry is free and seating will be available outside as well as in the Sports Bar.
We’ll also have live music on in the Sports Bar with the hugely talented Joe Metcalfe from 6.30pm, while we’ll keep the barbecue on to feed those who come along – and we’ll also be making cake, scones and sweets available throughout the day
So make sure you’re part of our coronation party extravaganza – it’s going to be worth it just for the football match, trust us!
We’ll see you there on Sunday.
