We are delighted to confirm the news that Mark Sleightholme has returned to The Brewery Field to resume his role as Moors’ Head Groundsman.

Sleightholme previously spent four years in the same capacity with Moors before leaving the Club in January to take up a similar position with South Shields.

However, we are pleased to say that he has now chosen to come back to Moors and got back on the pitch at The Brewery Field on Tuesday morning to begin the work ahead of 2023/24.

“It’s absolutely fantastic news that Mark is back at the Football Club,” said Moors’ General Manager, Ian Geldard.

“He’s a highly qualified and vastly experienced groundsman so it’s a real boost for us that he has agreed to come back to the Club to help us prepare for the new campaign.

“We’ve gained a reputation for having one of the best pitches in this division and above during the years he’s worked for us so we’re absolutely delighted that we can benefit from that expertise once again.
