There was a packed house in the County Durham Lounge on Saturday as Moors Ladies celebrated a promotion-winning campaign with a fantastic Awards Night.

Almost 100 people headed to The Brewery Field to join the festivities, as all of those who played a part in the Ladies’ success story in 2022/23 were rewarded for their efforts.

Billy Shackleton’s side enjoyed a wonderful campaign, winning promotion to the NERWFL Premier Division for next term after embarking on an incredible 18-game unbeaten run.

Top scorer Autumn Colledge was awarded Sponsors’ Player of the Year, whilst she was also recognised for winning the most Player of the Match prizes during the season.

Influential centre-back Alice Welch-Davison was also celebrating after collecting a memorable double of Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards.

The Manager’s Player of the Year went to midfield maestro Courtney Mole, while there was also a Special Recognition Award for Nikita Hemmingway who has combined playing with Club Secretary duties.

Well done to the winners and to all Moors Ladies’ players and staff for a momentous season!
