Moors Ladies have completed their first signing of the summer with the news that exciting young winger Beth Enguita has joined the Club from Durham Cestria.
The 19-year-old has agreed to link-up with Moors for 2023/24 after coming through the ranks at Durham Women where she was a product of the club’s Academy.
A skilful and versatile player who is blessed with great pace and a real football intelligence, Enguita is reunited with Assistant Manager Brent Smithson with whom she has worked before.
“I am over the moon to get Beth over the line – it shows the calibre of player we are now signing to help us progress and improve,” boss Billy Shackleton told us.
“Brent and I have worked long and hard to set up a list of targets for recruitment. Beth was one of the first players he mentioned and, as soon as I went to watch her, I knew he was right and that she would add to our side.
“At times last season I think we lacked a tactical edge and directness for goal, but Beth will give us that in abundance, and I am sure she will excite Moors Ladies fans every time she gets the ball.”
