Moors return to action on Thursday night with a friendly visit to Whickham at the start of an exciting pre-season schedule to warm-up for the new campaign.
Jamie Chandler’s men have lined-up a number of friendlies against varying levels of opposition throughout July and the programme gets underway this week following the squad’s return to training.
The first game takes place at Whickham’s First Mortgage Glebe Ground on Thursday evening, before Moors play host to Fleetwood Town Under-21s at Newcastle Blue Star’s Scotswood Sports Centre on Saturday 8th July. The game is being played there while we finalise work on our own pitch.
As part of the pre-season, we’re also hosting a festival of football at The Brewery Field on Saturday 15th July which kicks-off at 1pm with a round-robin of fixtures against Newcastle United Under-21s and Hebburn Town.
The Super Saturday will be rounded-off with what is set to be a memorable exhibition fixture as players from Moors and Tunbridge Wells reunite to play against each other 10 years on from the FA Vase Final at Wembley. Click here for information.
There are also games against Newton Aycliffe, Morpeth Town and Guiseley on the schedule, while the pre-season will culminate with a home fixture against Middlesbrough Under-21s at The Brewery Field on Saturday 29th July (12.30pm kick-off).
