Durham OnAir Coverage Continues In 23/24

We are delighted to confirm that we have extended our agreement with Durham OnAir to ensure Moors fans all over the world can enjoy live commentary of every game during 2023/24.

Our link-up with Durham OnAir in recent seasons has proved popular with supporters, particularly last term when we received a lot of positive feedback about our live coverage.

The renewed agreement means that Moors supporters will be able to listen to live audio commentary on every single National League North game – both home and away.

Plus, accessing the live coverage remains just as straightforward with fans able to listen-in online via the Durham OnAir website or app, or by accessing direct on your smart speakers too.

“We are really pleased to extend our partnership with Durham OnAir,” said Mark Simpson, the Club’s Media & Communications Manager and lead commentator on matchday.

“We had so many kind comments about our live coverage last season and it’s so pleasing that we are able to offer this service which is invaluable for supporters who can’t get to every game in-person.

“As ever, we’re always looking to expand what we provide for our fanbase but the live commentary in partnership with Durham OnAir is at the core of our match content for supporter all over the world.”

Sam Lupton, Director of Durham OnAir, added: “Durham OnAir are thrilled to once again be teaming up with Spennymoor Town to bring fantastic coverage of every single game in National League North and the FA Cup throughout the 2023/24 season.

“Moors are such an exciting team, and to be able to support them through our radio commentary at such an exciting time for the Club is fantastic.

“With our new transmitters activated in Darlington and South Durham, now even more people will be able to get in on the action as Moors games are available to over 800,000 radios across the North East.

“Of course, fans can also listen on the free Durham OnAir app for smartphones and via their smart speakers by saying ‘Alexa, Play Durham OnAir’.”

Our first live commentary of the new season will be on the opening day when Jamie Chandler’s men make the trip to Banbury United on Saturday 5th August.
