Ryan Wombwell has now left the Club after an agreement was made to mutually cancel his contract at The Brewery Field.

The defender joined Moors from Gateshead in January and went on to make 12 appearances in National League North during the second half of the 2022/23 campaign.

However, following discussions between the player and the Club during the summer, it was mutually agreed for his registration to be cancelled in order for him to seek more regular First Team football.

“We wish Ryan nothing but the best for the next step in his career,” said boss Jamie Chandler.

“He is a fantastic person and a good footballer, but we just could not guarantee him regular game time in the coming season. I am sure with more minutes on the pitch he can flourish at his next club.

“I would like to personally thank him for the hard work he’s put in and the great attitude he’s shown during his time at our Club and wish him all the best moving forward.”
