We take a look at everything you need to know ahead of this weekend’s National League North trip to face Peterborough Sports at PIMS Park.

Peterborough Sports v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 19th August 2023, 3pm
PIMS Park

The Opposition
Peterborough Sports have had a mixed start to the new campaign so far and have won one, drawn one and lost one ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Moors at PIMS Park.

A hard fought 1-0 win on the opening day got them up and running and a creditable point away at title favourites Scunthorpe United followed seven days later.

However, The Turbines were beaten 2-1 thanks to a goal two minutes from time when they made the midweek trip to Alfreton Town so they will be keen to hit back on Saturday.

Previous Meeting
The two sides produced an extraordinary afternoon of football when they last met back at The Brewery Field back in March.

Moors were staring defeat in the face after falling 3-0 behind by half time but goals from Joe Tait, Paul Blackett and Jake Day saw Jason Ainsley’s side roar back to claim a dramatic point.

Team News
Jamie Chandler will run the rule of midfielder Callum Ross who missed Tuesday night’s win over Southport with a knee injury, while front man Owen Gallacher will also be assessed.

Match Officials
The man in charge at PIMS Park on Saturday will be Adrian George, and he will be assisted by Harry Price and Stuart Lathan.
