Transfer News: Santa Claus Renews Contract!

We’re delighted to announce that terms have been agreed for Santa Claus to return to The Brewery Field for another season of festive fun as part of Moors in the Community’s Christmas Programme.

Working in partnership with Spennymoor Town Council, we’re excited to welcome Santa back to the town for the Christmas Lights Switch-On event in the Marketplace from 5.30pm on Saturday 25th November.

The big man will then spend a total of 90 hours over the following three weeks at the Grotto based within Spennymoor Town Hall, which will be visited for free by every school in the town during December.

“We are incredibly grateful to our Seasonal Activities Volunteer, Alan Grainger, for his incredible work with us every festive season,” said Moors’ Community Development Manager, Luke Cowie.

“His extraordinary commitment and efforts ensure that the funds received from the Town Council will be reinvested in our delivery of a variety of hugely impactful Christmas projects.

“We’re proud to once again be planning a free Community Christmas Lunch at The Brewery Field, alongside our annual Christmas Toy Appeal and Christmas Food Hamper Appeal.

“Moors in the Community will also host a free Grotto at The Brewery Field to give parents and guardians the chance to bring their children to see Santa and enjoy a memorable family experience this festive season.”
