Preview: Moors v Curzon Ashton

We bring you the full lowdown as Moors prepare to play host to Curzon Ashton in National League North at The Brewery Field on Tuesday evening.

Spennymoor Town v Curzon Ashton
National League North
Tuesday 7th November 2023, 7.45pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Curzon Ashton will be looking to halt a concerning run of form when they arrive at The Brewery Field for this evening’s National League North action.

The Nash have tasted defeat in each of their last four outings in all competitions and have slipped down to 16th in the table as a result of that sequence of results.

Craig Mahon was installed as Interim Manager at Tameside Stadium in September following the departure of previous boss Adam Lakeland to King’s Lynn Town.

It’s the second time Mahon has held the reins, and he will be keen to engineer an upturn in the side’s form, starting with tonight’s trip to the North East.

Previous Meeting
Curzon Ashton had the edge over Moors last season, drawing 0-0 when they visited The Brewery Field in September before enjoying a 1-0 win on their own patch on Easter Monday.

Team News
Ben Pollock remains unavailable as he serves the second of a three-game ban, while James Curtis and Michael Ledger both missed Saturday’s draw with Boston United through injury and will be assessed.

Match Officials
Oliver Mackey will be the man in charge for this evening’s encounter at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Mark Bell and Jonathan Gill.
