Anderson’s Derby Strike Wins Goal Of Month

Mark Anderson’s wonderful half-volley in the win over Darlington at Blackwell Meadows has been voted as Moors’ Goal of the Month for October.

The midfielder’s stunning strike put Lewis Dickman’s two goals to the good against their local rivals and set off scenes of wild celebration among the travelling support.

Anderson had to hold off strong competition to land the accolade for October, with much of his biggest threats coming from the Moors Ladies squad.

Hannah Knox’s fantastic curling free-kick against Bradford City came a close second to Anderson, while fans voted Lily Jackson’s FA Cup thunderbolt against Wakefield into third place.

Take another look at Anderson’s winning goal – as well as all of the other contenders – in our special video montage below.

Well done, Sparky!
