Moors Launch Xmas Factor 2023

We’re giving you another reason to rejoice this festive season with the news that Xmas Factor is making its return – and the popular karaoke extravaganza is set to be bigger, bolder and dafter!

First launched back in 2006, Xmas Factor is a fun and festive twist on the popular ITV talent show and it became so popular in Spennymoor that it went on to run for over 10 consecutive years!

From its origins in the Weardale pub, the hilarious and often outrageous Xmas Factor went on tour in front of packed audiences around the town including the Quinn’s Inn and latterly The Mason’s Arms.

Kurt McCormack was the very first winner in 2006 when his outstanding vocals on tracks from the likes of Meatloaf and Bon Jovi earned him a large and loyal support which carried him all the way to the crown.

Now we’re on the hunt for our 2023 Champion for the event which will begin with two semi-finals on Saturday 2nd December and Saturday 16th December before the Grand Final on Friday 22nd December.

So, if you’re a Rod Stewart replica, a Dua Lipa double, a dead ringer for a Dido or just someone who has great vocals or is wildly entertaining, then why not sign-up to compete in Xmas Factor 2023?

While the competition itself has got bigger and bolder, so too has the prize money – and this year’s winner can look forward to walking away with an early Christmas present of a whopping £500!

With a special line-up of judges arranged to deliver their verdicts on the acts – both good and bad – we’ll also be including a few surprise guests on the panel throughout our search for this year’s winner.

Also, as ever, we’re looking to support a local charity with proceeds from Xmas Factor. In the past, County Durham Autistic Society and Bishop Auckland Stroke Unit have benefitted and this year we thought it fitting to nominate Moors in the Community as our designated partner.

So, have you got the talent to excite the audience? Do your have the presence to dazzle the judges?

Whether you’re a potential contestant or just want to come along and enjoy the festive fun, you don’t want to miss Xmas Factor when we kick-off on Saturday 2nd December at around 7.30pm.
