Moors Ladies Complete Winger Signing

Moors Ladies have completed the signing of talented young winger Talia Korucu from Stockton Town.

The promising 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal with Moors but will go back out to Stockton on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.

Korucu has impressed boss Billy Shackleton and the rest of the Moors coaching team during training in recent weeks and it’s now been agreed for her to become a Spennymoor player.

“Tal has been training with us for a good while now and has shown us how good she can get with the ball at her feet and how direct she is,” Shackleton explained.

“She will play the majority of her football at Stockton for the time being to ensure she’s getting the most minutes she can to aid her development and progression.

“But she will be available to us should we need to draft her into the First Team here too, so I am delighted to get her signed up.”

The teenage prospect is excited by the link-up with Moors and hopes being able to perform at a higher level can help her continue to progress her game.

“Spennymoor is a high-level club with great facilities and management,” Korucu commented.

“I’m looking forward to both training and playing with the Club because I think that can help better myself as a player and improve my confidence and skillset.

“The training has been excellent. I love the high intensity and the girls have been very welcoming to help me settle into the squad really well.”

Moors Ladies have no game this Sunday but will return to action next Sunday when they make the trip to Chester-le-Street Town in the Second Round of the Women’s FA Cup.
