Record Figure Raised At Charity Race Night

The Club hosted another sold-out Race Night on Friday where over £1,500 was raised towards Moors in the Community and Spennymoor Town Fans Group.

Moors’ Race Nights have become well known for being cracking events and this was no exception with the Sports Bar packed with supporters who all enjoyed another good evening.

In all, a whopping £1,600 was raised which will be donated to support the many fantastic local projects currently being undertaken by Moors in the Community.

“It was another fantastic night and I want to thank everyone who came along to support us,” said Moors’ Community Development Manager, Luke Cowie.

“Our Race Nights have always proved hugely popular and enjoyable but to raise that amount of money is just superb – it’s smashed our previous highest figure and I’m overwhelmed by it.

“The funds raised will all go towards supporting our active projects which are providing tangible benefits for people of all ages and backgrounds across our town and local area.

“Having this extra income can also help us to introduce new projects and continue to have a growing impact across our community so thank you again to everyone who supported the event.”

The latest Race Night’s success means the Club is already making plans to organise another in February so keep an eye out for details!
