We bring you the full lowdown as Moors get ready to make the trip to face Farsley Celtic in National League North at The Citadel on Tuesday evening.
Farsley Celtic v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 21st November 2023, 7.45pm
The Citadel
The Opposition
Farsley Celtic currently lie in National League North’s middle ground having had an inconsistent start to the 2023/24 campaign.
The West Yorkshire outfit were unbeaten in their first five games of the season, but it took them until the beginning of this month to register back-to-back victories in the league.
A 2-0 triumph over Boston United was followed-up by an impressive 2-1 win at Buxton, while they then went on to draw at in-form Southport in their most recent National League North outing.
Defeat to Radcliffe in their FA Trophy tie on home soil at the weekend was a setback – and one they will be keen to bounce back from when they welcome Moors to The Citadel this evening.
Previous Meeting
The most recent meeting between the clubs came on the final day of last season when goals from Glen Taylor and Mark Anderson earned Moors a 2-1 victory at The Brewery Field.
Moors had taken a point from their visit to The Citadel earlier in the campaign, as late goals from Danny Greenfield and Taylor saw them claim an unlikely point having fallen 2-0 behind early on.
Team News
Moors must check on the fitness of Rob Ramshaw after the midfielder was forced off with a calf injury after scoring the opening goal in Saturday’s FA Trophy defeat to Mickleover.
Match Officials
Gareth Thomas will be on the whistle for Tuesday evening’s action at The Citadel, and he will be assisted by Martin Parker and Mathew Wright.
