Saturday’s National League North fixture against Scarborough Athletic has been postponed following a pitch inspection at The Brewery Field.

Temperatures have plummeted in recent days as a cold snap hit the country, which prompted Moors ground staff to attempt to protect the pitch with the application of covers.

However, local referee Andrew Miller expressed concerns about some areas of the playing surface when he attended the stadium on Friday lunchtime.

There are also concerns about the fact that temperatures are due to remain below zero for much of Friday and into Saturday, prompting a decision to postpone the fixture.
