Moors in the Community have handed over toys and food donations to local charity Angel Trust after an overwhelming response to the recent Christmas appeal.
Every year, Moors in the Community appeals for supporters to help members of the local community by bringing us donations of toys for children and food for those who need it most.
As ever, the reaction has been overwhelming and the Sports Bar at The Brewery Field was overtaken by the items donated as the Spennymoor public underlined their generosity once more.
For 2023, Moors in the Community have forged a link with Angel Trust in order to ensure that all donations are reaching those across the town and the wider area who are in most need.
“We’ve been bowled over by the kindness and spirit of the people in Spennymoor again this Christmas,” admitted Luke Cowie, the Club’s Community Development Manager.
“The response to our two appeals for toys and food has been incredible and that has allowed us to provide items for even more people and spread some festive cheer even further.
“Angel Trust is a local charity we identified as being the ideal vehicle to ensure the efforts of our supporters are utilised in the best possible way and we’re thrilled to support the brilliant work they do.”
The County Durham organisation has been going from strength to strength since its foundation and they remain committed to inspiring local giving and providing solid and innovative support to the community.
