The Opposition
Chorley underlined their promotion prospects by claiming a fourth National League North win in five outings at Moors’ expense on Boxing Day at The Brewery Field.

The Magpies remained third in the table following Tuesday’s results, firmly entrenched in the play-off spots and sitting seven points behind Tamworth and Scunthorpe United.

Andy Preece has driven real progress at Victory Park this term and, having finished 16th in National League North last time around, and they approach Saturday’s game looking to secure a seventh consecutive home win.

As well as enjoying strong form in the league, Chorley have also got an FA Trophy run to look forward to in the New Year when they make the long trip to Hythe United in Round Four in January.

Previous Meeting
Chorley returned home with all three points on Boxing Day after they ran out 2-0 winners at The Brewery Field – though Moors had a goal disallowed and a penalty saved in the game.

Glen Taylor and Ben Pollock will both be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game after the duo were forced off midway through the Boxing Day encounter with The Magpies.

Elliot Bell will be on the whistle for Saturday’s National League North fixture at Victory Park, and he will be assisted by Louis Smith and Mark Hanson.
