Moors have moved to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the weekend with the signing of talented young forward Emmanuel Ilesanmi on a one-month loan from Harrogate Town.
The 19-year-old striker has come through the ranks with Town and became the club’s first Academy graduate to play in League Two when he came off the bench against Colchester United in April 2022.
Ilesanmi has now made six senior appearances for The Sulphurites and his highly rated by boss Simon Weaver and the coaching staff at The Envirovent Stadium.
The front man gained further First Team experience during a loan spell with Scarborough Athletic in January 2023, while he spent time at Basford in the early part of the current campaign.
Moors boss Lewis Dickman has been keen to bolster his squad ahead of Saturday’s game and a hectic January so is thrilled to have made a breakthrough to land Ilesanmi on loan.
“I am really pleased we’ve been able to bring Manny in and we’re looking forward to working with him,” Dickman explained.
“He’s a young, hungry and very talented player and we’re excited to be able to give him the opportunity to come here and show what he can do.
“It’s no secret we have been looking to strengthen the squad and a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to try and do that so it’s great to get this deal done.
“I want to thank Simon Weaver and everyone at Harrogate Town for their cooperation and for allowing us to bring Manny to The Brewery Field.”
Ilesanmi has been handed the number 25 shirt and will go straight into contention to make his Moors debut in the National League North fixture at Chorley this afternoon.
