Preview: Rushall Olympic v Moors

We turn our attentions to the weekend’s action with a full and in-depth preview of Moors’ National League North trip to Dales Lane.

Rushall Olympic v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 13th January 2024, 3pm
Dales Lane

The Opposition
Rushall Olympic have more than held their own at National League North level this season following their promotion through the play-offs from the Southern Premier League Central Division.

Whilst they have tasted league defeat 13 times, The Pics have also enjoyed some eye-catching results – including an impressive 1-0 at Chester on Saturday and a 2-0 triumph over South Shields just before Christmas.

Liam McDonald’s side currently lie in 19th place, but they have the extra motivation of knowing a victory on Saturday could see them leapfrog Moors in the table.

Previous Meeting
Two goals from Glen Taylor and another from Will Harris saw Moors brush Rushall Olympic aside when they made the trip to The Brewery Field back in October.

Team News
Glen Taylor is likely to remain sidelined as he nurses a knee injury, while Ben Pollock’s fitness will be assessed after the defender was forced to sit out Tuesday evening’s draw with Scarborough Athletic.

New signings Dan Myers and Donald Chimalilo are both free to make their Moors debuts after arriving at The Brewery Field from Marske United this week.

Match Officials
Neil Pratt is the man in the middle for Saturday’s National League North encounter at Dales Lane, and he will be assisted by Daniel Clenton and Lewis Mountain.

Tickets
