Midfielder Callum Ross insisted he took no comfort from scoring his first goal for the Club as Moors fell to a frustrating 4-3 defeat at Rushall Olympic on Saturday.
Ross’ stunning strike just before half time restored hope for Graeme Lee’s men who had fallen two goals behind inside a torrid first 15 minutes at Dales Lane.
Lebrun Mbeka went on to equalise early in the second half but the hosts came back strongly to restore their two-goal advantage before Sam Fielding’s late consolation.
Afterwards, Ross was blunt in his assessment of the current run of form but said that back-to-back home games in the coming week will give them an opportunity to try to rebuild momentum.
