Tuesday night’s National League North fixture at Southport has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Haig Avenue.

Heavy rain in the area has left parts of the pitch unplayable and an inspection carried out just before 1pm led to the decision to postpone the game.

Following discussions between both clubs and the Match Referee, an early inspection was arranged to avoid any unnecessary travel for players and supporters given the deteriorating conditions.

Any tickets purchased in advance will be automatically refunded to fans within 3-5 days.
