Graeme Lee has moved to further strengthen his squad with the signing of versatile midfielder Evan Khouri on a one-month loan deal from League Two side Grimsby Town.
The 21-year-old has been on the books at Blundell Park since 2019 when he penned a two-year scholarship with the club having originally come through the ranks at West Ham United.
Comfortable in the centre of midfield, out wide or in a more attacking role, Khouri has made good progress with The Mariners for whom he made his senior debut at just 17 in September 2020.
His promising performances earned him a professional contract with Grimsby the following year and he was part of the squad which went on to win promotion back to the EFL via the Play-Off Final.
In the summer of 2022, he was rewarded with a new two-year deal, and he went on to make 22 appearances last term, playing a part in Town’s brilliant win at Southampton as they reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
“Evan will come in and add plenty of quality and energy to our midfield,” explained Moors boss Lee.
“He is a very highly rated young player who has been in and around Grimsby’s First Team for the last three years so it’s fantastic we’ve been able to bring him here.
“I would like to thank Grimsby for their help in getting the deal agreed and we’re now just really looking forward to working with Evan over the next month.”
Khouri has been handed squad number 33 and will go straight into contention to make his Moors debut in Saturday’s game against Peterborough Sports at The Brewery Field.
