Moors Ladies take centre-stage this weekend when they make the trip to Bradford City on Sunday looking to continue their run of fantastic NERWFL Premier Division form (2pm kick-off).
Billy Shackleton’s side thumped league leaders Barnsley 4-0 to secure a third successive win and underline a return to their best following a defeat to Sunderland West End last month.
Moors ran out 3-1 victors when they hosted Bradford back in October when goals from Autumn Colledge, Coral Colledge and Hannah Knox did the damage at New Ferens Park.
However, The Bantams have enjoyed a good run of form of their own in recent weeks and they sit just two points behind fifth-placed Moors ahead of Sunday’s intriguing encounter.
“Bradford are a very good team,” said Shackleton.
“They play a really good brand of football, and they are able to compete with any side at this level.
“We got the better of them the last time we played, but that makes this second meeting harder, and they will undoubtedly look to get on the front foot on their own ground on Sunday.
“We have to make sure we match their intensity and play to our strengths if we want to leave with another positive result.”
Shackleton will have an almost fully fit squad to select from this weekend, though the fixture is expected to come too soon for Meg Foster who continues her recovery from an ankle injury.
The game takes place at Horsfall Stadium in Bradford at 2pm and admission is £5 for fans wanting to attend.
