We turn our attentions to the weekend action with a full and in-depth preview of Moors’ National League North visit to The Jakemans Community Stadium.

Boston United v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 2nd March 2024, 3pm
The Jakemans Community Stadium

The Opposition
Boston United discovered a more stubborn streak just before Christmas which has helped them drive their way into play-off contention in National League North.

The Pilgrims sit seventh in the table ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Moors at The Jakemans Community Stadium and hopes are high among supporters that this could be their year.

There was a setback in midweek when Buxton sprung a surprise by running out 3-2 winners on Boston soil to inflict defeat on Ian Culverhouse’s men for just the second time in 15 league games.

They haven’t suffered back-to-back defeats since October so they will be keen to avoid that outcome this weekend when Moors arrive looking to repeat last season’s 2-1 victory at The Jakemans Stadium.

Previous Meeting
The two sides played out a goalless draw when they met in National League North at The Brewery Field back in November.

Team News
Reece Staunton will have his fitness assessed after the defender was forced off with a hamstring concern during the early stages of Tuesday’s win at Bishop’s Stortford.

Glen Taylor is nearing a return to fitness following knee surgery but it remains to be seen whether he can be involved at The Jakemans Community Stadium this weekend.

Match Officials
Darius Bradley will be on the whistle for Saturday’s game against The Pilgrims, and he will be assisted by James Wetherall and Shaun Barry.
