Lee Named Manager Of The Month

Graeme Lee has been named as the Vanarama National League North Manager of the Month for February.

The Moors boss engineered a remarkable turnaround in form during the month, celebrating his first win as Manager when goals from Ben Pollock and Mika Ndjoli ensured victory at Southport.

The team drew confidence from that triumph and went on to collect 14 points from a possible 21 during February to put distance between themselves and the danger zone.

Moors ended a run of four months without a win on home soil when they enjoyed quickfire back-to-back 2-0 victories over Blyth Spartans and Warrington Town.

A creditable point at promotion-chasing Chester was built on by a dramatic last-gasp win at Bishop’s Stortford when Rob Ramshaw scored the only goal with 95 minutes on the clock.

“It’s really nice for me and everyone at the Club for us to pick up the award,” Lee told us.

“When things like this come along, it just reinforces the feeling that we’re all doing something right as a Club and this award is certainly not just for me, but for everyone involved.

“We’ve played well over the last month or so and picked up a good number of points but it’s important we don’t take our foot off the gas because we want to go and finish the season as strongly as possible now.”
