Spennymoor Town v Darlington
National League North
Saturday 9th March 2024, 1pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Darlington have launched a stunning attempt to drag themselves clear of relegation trouble on the back of some wonderful form in recent weeks.

The Quakers looked doomed just over a month ago but new boss Steve Watson’s work on the training ground is now starting to reap dividends on the pitch.

While Moors are top of the National League North form table, Darlington sit a close second having won each of their last four games.

Their confidence and belief they can survive was further boosted on Tuesday night by a remarkable 4-0 hammering of promotion-chasing Scunthorpe United which lifted them within one point of safety.

Previous Meeting
Moors ran out comfortable 2-1 winners when the two rivals locked horns at Blackwell Meadows back in October, thanks to goals from Danny Greenfield and Mark Anderson.

Team News
Midfielder Matty Dolan will be assessed after he missed Tuesday night’s win over Alfreton Town through illness. Reece Staunton and Callum Ross (both hamstring) are working hard to return fitness, as is Glen Taylor who is making good progress following knee surgery.

Match Officials
David Jones will take charge of Saturday’s encounter at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Michael Robinson and Ryan Coulson.

Tickets
Saturday’s game is ALL-TICKET for home and away supporters and there will be strictly no tickets for sale at any point anywhere on matchday – all fans must buy in advance.

Tickets are on sale online in advance right now and this is the easiest way to purchase as you can print tickets at home or simply show the QR code from your mobile device at the turnstiles.

Moors fans who require a paper ticket can call into the Sports Bar, which will be open until midnight on Friday.

Season Ticket holders do not need to purchase a ticket as this fixture is a regular league game and is therefore included in your package.
