Reece Staunton’s thunderbolt against Warrington Town has been crowned as Moors’ Goal of the Month for February following a fans’ vote.

The full-back’s first goal for the Club could hardly have come in more spectacular fashion as he pinched possession on the halfway line, drove forward to the edge of the box and let fly with a ferocious shot which flew into the net.

We included Staunton’s strike among a video shortlist of the best goals scored by both of our senior sides during February and it quickly emerged as the front runner, taking over 70% of the votes.

The goal beat off strong competition from Corey McKeown and Caitlin Bates to be given the nod as our best scored during a bumper month of February.
