Preview: Moors v Farsley Celtic

We turn our attentions to Easter Monday’s action with a full and in-depth preview of Farsley Celtic’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Farsley Celtic
National League North
Monday 1st April 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Farsley Celtic brought to an end a run of four consecutive defeats when they battled to a goalless draw against Southport at The Citadel on Good Friday.

The Celt Army now sit 19th the table and are just three points above the danger zone on the back of a run which has seen them taste victory just once in their last 11 outings.

However, a clean sheet and a point on the board will boost confidence as they prepare for the trip to County Durham which is immediately followed by a potentially pivotal double header against Peterborough Sports.

Having ensured their National League North survival at The Brewery Field on the final day of last term, Clayton Donaldson’s men will be looking to create more happy memories at the venue on Easter Monday.

Previous Meeting
The points were shared when the two sides met at The Citadel back in November as neither team could find a route to goal and the game finished 0-0.

Team News
John Lufudu will have his fitness assessed after missing last Tuesday’s game against Scunthorpe United as well as sitting out the clash with parent club South Shields over the weekend.

Match Officials
Gareth Thomas will be the man in charge for our National League North fixture against Farsley Celtic, and he will be assisted by Sam Bayley and Conor Ledgeway.

Home and away fans can buy their tickets in advance for Monday’s game at The Brewery Field, which will not be segregated.
