Owen Gallacher has now left the Club after it was mutually agreed to cancel his contract at The Brewery Field.
The attacker joined Moors at the beginning of July following a spell playing in the EFL with Grimsby Town and he went on to make 11 appearances in all competitions.
A shoulder injury suffered in the game at Hereford just before Christmas curtailed his progress and he’s been unable force his way back into the team upon his return to fitness.
Following discussions between Gallacher and the Club, it has now been agreed that the 24-year-old be released from his Moors contract by mutual consent.
“Gally is a great lad who worked very hard to get back to fitness after his setback,” explained boss Graeme Lee.
“He’s been in and around it since getting back to fitness, but the form of the team has meant it’s been difficult for him to get the regular football he craves at this stage of his career.
“His attitude has been first class throughout his time here, and he leaves the Club with nothing but well wishes from everyone at Spennymoor Town.”
