We turn the focus on Saturday’s action with a full and in-depth preview of Moors’ National League North visit to The Flamingo Land Stadium.
Scarborough Athletic v Spennymoor Town
National League North

The Opposition
Scarborough Athletic have enjoyed some encouraging form over recent weeks to emerge from a frustrating spell which saw them go without a win in 10 games from the end of January.
Jonathan Greening’s men were trundling along nicely during their second season at National League North level before a drop-off in results saw them pick up just three points from a possible 30.
However, a comfortable 2-0 win over already relegated Bishop’s Stortford a fortnight ago has been followed by a draw at home to Warrington Town and a stunning win at King’s Lynn Town on Easter Monday.
The Seadogs did it the hard way against The Linnets, falling 3-0 behind inside a disastrous first 20 minutes before producing a remarkable recovery to score four second half goals, including a dramatic last-minute winner.
Scarborough’s home form was exceptional during the first half of the campaign and fans will be hoping they can get back to that sort of consistency on their own patch as they look to end 2023/24 strongly.
Previous Meeting
The points were shared for a third successive time when the two sides met at The Brewery Field back in January as Rob Ramshaw’s 72nd minute goal cancelled out Harry Green’s opener for the visitors.
Team News
Striker Glen Taylor and defender Ben Pollock will both be assessed ahead of the weekend after the duo both missed Moors’ win over Farsley Celtic through injury.
Midfielder Matty Dolan will also hope to be in contention after he was forced off in the early stages of the Easter Monday victory after being on the receiving end of a robust challenge.
Match Officials
James Bancroft will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s game at Scarborough Athletic, and he will be assisted by Liam Smith and Karl Barron.
