Graeme Lee Named Manager Of The Month

Graeme Lee has been named as the Vanarama National League North Manager of the Month for March – the second month in succession that the Moors boss has scooped the award.

Having taken the prize following an incredible run during February, Lee oversaw another astonishing sequence of results in March as Moors collected 18 points from a possible 21.

Play-off contenders Boston United, Alfreton Town and Curzon Ashton were all swept aside by in-form Moors, while title-chasing Scunthorpe United were also seen off at The Brewery Field.

After arriving in the role with the job of moving the team away from the bottom four, Lee and his coaching team have overseen a dramatic turnaround which has put Moors in contention for a play-off spot with three games to go.

“It’s fantastic to have won the award for a second month running and it shows we are doing something right here,” admitted Lee.

“I am thrilled not just for myself, but for all the coaching staff who continue to work tirelessly alongside me to try and help push this Football Club in the right direction.

“However, the main credit has to go to the players who have gone out there and performed brilliantly during February and March to get us into the position we find ourselves now.

“It’s also good reward for everyone at the Club because a lot of hard work goes in behind the scenes in the build-up to those 90 minutes you see on the pitch.”
