Rob Ramshaw Agrees New Spennymoor Deal

Rob Ramshaw has committed his immediate future to the Club after agreeing terms on a new deal to keep him at The Brewery Field until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

The attacking midfielder arrived at Moors in the summer of 2016, and he quickly became a big hit with supporters, not least after scoring the winner in the 2017 Play-Off Final triumph over Stourbridge.

A fearsome competitor who wears his heart on his sleeve every time he steps on to the pitch, Ramshaw joined the club having made over 100 appearances in the colours of Gateshead.

However, he’s flourished in the black and white of Spennymoor over the last eight years and has continued to prove a key part of the line-up as an ever-present for the majority of his stint.

Ramshaw turned 30 in November but is showing little signs of slowing down – in fact, last season was statistically his best ever as he smashed 14 league goals and also hit double figures for assists.

As a result, Moors boss Graeme Lee was keen to extend his stay at The Brewery Field and made securing his signature another of his main priorities this summer.

“I am thrilled to get the deal done to keep Rob at the Club for the next two years,” said Moors boss Graeme Lee.

“He had one of the best seasons of his career last year and was one of the most consistent performers not just during the time I was at the Club but throughout the campaign.

“You only have to look at the number of goals he scored and created to see how much of an asset he can be to the team, and I am so pleased he’s going to be staying with us.

“It’s not just his goals and assists, but his workrate, energy and enthusiasm along with the standards he demands from his teammates that make him so important to us.

“We have a lot of work to do this summer but keeping Rob at the Club was a priority and it’s great to get it signed and sealed so early on.”
