Michael Ledger has become the latest player to commit his future to the Club after he put pen to paper on a new contract for the 2024/25 National League North campaign.
The dependable and versatile defender first arrived at The Brewery Field in the opening month of the 2022/23 season when he agreed a deal after impressing during a pre-season trial.
Ledger has gone on to make 56 appearances, producing a string of consistent performances whether utilised in the centre of defence or at full-back.
Moors boss Lee was keen to extend the 27-year-old’s stay with the Club and has now agreed terms to keep the former Sunderland and Hartlepool United defender into 2024/25.
“I am really pleased that Michael has signed his new contract,” admitted Lee.
“We had a good conversation at the end of last season when I told him that I wanted him to stay, and he was obviously keen to extend too so it’s great to get everything sorted so quickly.
“He can comfortably play in a couple of different positions, which is a bonus for us, and he is the type of player who you know you can rely on no matter where he is on the pitch.
“Michael is also a great lad to have around the squad; he’s got bags of experience, quality and knowhow which the young lads can certainly learn from so I’m delighted he’s staying.”
Ledger has followed in the footsteps of Corey McKeown, Rob Ramshaw and Glen Taylor in signing a new deal with the Club as Lee continues to shape his squad for the fresh campaign.
