Callum Ross Pens New Spennymoor Deal

Midfield star Callum Ross has handed a boost to Moors boss Graeme Lee after putting pen to paper on a new contract to keep him at The Brewery Field into 2024/25.

The 29-year-old joined the Club from local rivals South Shields in January 2023 and has gone on to make 59 appearances in all competitions since then.

Ross’ tenacity in the engine room has become a key feature for Moors and he fought back from injury to play his part in last term’s incredible run-in as Lee’s men missed out on the play-offs by a single point.

The Moors boss was keen to keep the Newcastle-born schemer in the ranks going into the fresh campaign and Ross has now agreed a new deal to stay with the Club through next season.

“Callum has been excellent since I have been at the Club,” explained Lee.

“He can put his foot in and win the ball, but he’s also got real quality in possession and the ability to chip in with goals too, as we saw a couple of times last season.

“It was important to me that we got him signed-up for 2024/25 because I know how much he brings to the squad, both on and off the pitch.

“I am delighted he’s staying, and I am already looking forward to seeing how he can have an even bigger impact for us in the new campaign.”

Ross is the fifth player to sign a new contract at the Club this summer, following in the footsteps of Corey McKeown, Rob Ramshaw, Glen Taylor and Michael Ledger.
