We’re hosting an open training session for talented young players interested in joining the Club’s College Academy squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Club launched the programme in partnership with New College Durham last year, providing youngsters with an education and football development pathway to Spennymoor Town.
Moors midfielder Matty Dolan is once again set to be the Head Coach of the team for next season and he and Head of Youth Gavin Cogdon are on the lookout for the new intake of players.
The open training session will take place at Consett AFC’s Belle View Stadium on Tuesday 28th May between 11am and 1pm and is open to pupils who are currently in Year 11.
“We would love to see as many young players come and join us at the open training session,” said Dolan.
“It’s a good opportunity for them to meet the people who are involved in the programme, ask any questions they may have and take part in a session delivered by elite youth development coaches.”
We are thrilled to be working with New College Durham to provide this education and football development pathway.
If you’re a current Year 11 student and you’re interested in joining us next September, come along to our next event by completing the form for more information.
In addition to Moors coaching staff, New College Durham staff will also be available to discuss potential education pathways, which include A-Levels, Diplomas, and a range of trade qualifications in engineering and construction.
