There was another good turnout at The Brewery Field on Thursday morning as the Club hosted the latest Spennymoor Business Network meeting.
Representatives from a good number of local companies were in attendance at the event, which takes place in the Players’ Lounge at the stadium on final Thursday of every month.
Established to provide an opportunity for businesspeople from around the region to come together to connect, share ideas and build valuable relationships, Spennymoor Business Network has continued to grow.
This month’s meeting saw Shaun Hope, the new principal of Bishop Auckland College Group, as guest speaker and he delivered a fascinating talk on how to develop a culture of continuous improvement in business.
Moors boss Graeme Lee and Managing Director Ian Geldard were also in attendance and both were given the platform to share their thoughts on the topic of the day and explain a little more about their roles to others at the meeting.
“I would like to thank everyone who came along to what I thought was another really useful and enjoyable meeting this morning,” Geldard told us.
“We’re really pleased to be hosting Spennymoor Business Network at The Brewery Field and I feel certain it’s a group which will continue to grow and become crucial for businesses across the region.
“It was particularly enlightening to hear from Shaun on his journey from professional football to business leader and I thought his thoughts on continuous improvement were inspirational.
“We’re growing this Network all the time and being able to attract Guest Speakers like Shaun who can deliver a unique insight is invaluable to that and we look forward to welcoming more speakers and more members in the coming months.”
