We are delighted to announce that Spennymoor Town Ladies will play all of their home games at The Brewery Field during 2024/25 – and we’ve even introduced a Season Ticket offer for fans.
The Club has thrown its maximum support behind the Ladies set-up in recent years, overseeing promotion to the NERWFL Premier Division for the first time in 2023.
This summer we’re also investing further into the search for our Ladies stars of the future with the inception of a Reserves and a Development Team for the coming campaign.
Underlining our ‘One Club’ philosophy, Moors Ladies will now be able to truly call The Brewery Field home with all of their fixtures in 2024/25 set to take place at the main stadium.
“We’re really proud of our Ladies Team’s achievements in the past couple of seasons,” explained the Club’s Managing Director, Ian Geldard.
“They’ve surpassed all expectation with winning the Northern Division title and securing promotion to the Premier Division in 2022/23.
“Last year, they really raised eyebrows with an incredible first season at the level which saw them finish runners-up – and we want to make sure we build on that momentum now.
“We saw the great appetite for women’s football with ever-growing attendances at their games, particularly those we hosted at The Brewery Field, so we’re excited to have them playing all their fixtures on home soil next season.”
To celebrate Moors Ladies’ return to The Brewery Field, we’re introducing a great value Season Ticket for just £25 which gets you entry to every NERWFL Premier Division fixture in 2024/25.
Regular admission throughout the season will be £3 for Adults so you can save some money by purchasing your Season Ticket to support the Ladies each and every home game.
“It’s absolutely brilliant that the girls are going to be playing at The Brewery Field in the coming season,” admitted Moors Ladies boss Billy Shackleton.
“The players certainly get a huge lift from playing on the main pitch and I really think we can use it to our advantage because our record in the games we have staged there in the past is excellent.
“We have also attracted some really encouraging crowds when we have been at The Brewery Field, so hopefully we can keep on playing entertaining football and those numbers will continue to grow.
“We’re in a really strong position to make progress on a number of fronts in the new season, it’s exciting to be part of and we’re hoping that as many fans as possible come and get behind us.”
