Moors have added a further friendly to their pre-season schedule with confirmation that Doncaster Rovers will visit The Brewery Field on Saturday 20th July (3pm kick-off).
It’s the eighth fixture confirmed for the warm-up campaign as Graeme Lee’s men prepare for the start of the new National League North season on Saturday 10th August.
Moors boss Lee is a former Doncaster player and wrote his name in the club’s history books when he scored the decisive extra-time goal as they beat Bristol Rovers 3-2 to win the EFL Trophy at Wembley in 2007.
Rovers made the League Two play-offs last term on the back of an incredible run of form which saw them win 10 games in a row through March and April to storm up to fifth position.
Grant McCann’s side were beaten in dramatic fashion in the semi-finals though, giving up a 2-0 first leg lead over Crewe Alexandra before losing in a penalty shootout back on home soil.
Moors also played host to Doncaster during the pre-season of 2022/23 when they South Yorkshire side ran out 3-1 winners at The Brewery Field.
Ticket details for all of our pre-season friendlies will be confirmed in due course.
