Preview: Marske United v Moors

Moors are back in action for the first time in pre-season on Tuesday evening when they make the trip to face Marske United (7.30pm kick-off).

The fixture will mark an emotional return to Mount Pleasant for Moors management team Graeme Lee and Ian Clark who began last term in charge of The Seasiders.

Moors have been back in training for almost two weeks and the players have been put through their paces with a series of difficult sessions to improve fitness.

Now the natural step-up in preparations is to play a game and it’s fitting that Lee’s first friendly of the warm-up campaign will come back at the home of his former club.

The Moors boss is set to take his full senior squad for the game, with some younger players and several trialists potentially involved at some stage too.

However, front man Will Harris has been frustrated by injury and been unable to train so far this pre-season so he will not feature in Tuesday’s outing.

Tickets will be available to Moors fans on the turnstiles prior to kick-off at Mount Pleasant, where you can pay by cash or card.
