Graeme Lee has moved to further bolster his squad with the signing of versatile midfielder Olly Dyson on loan from York City until the New Year.
The 24-year-old have been with The Minstermen since September 2020 having joined the club following his release from Huddersfield Town.
Comfortable in the centre of midfield or anywhere down the right flank, Dyson was among the stars of City’s National League North promotion campaign in 2021/22.
Having come through the ranks with Huddersfield, he gained senior experience during loan spells at Liversedge, Shaw Lane and Barrow before moving on to join York.
Dyson has become a popular figure with supporters at The LNER Community Stadium and his contribution during 2022/23 saw him voted as Clubman of the Year.
His performances during that campaign also earned him a call-up to England C in March 2023 when he was included in their squad to face Wales at Altrincham.
Dyson spent time on loan at Scarborough Athletic last term, scoring a spectacular long-range goal in their 2-2 draw against Warrington Town.
“Olly is a great addition for us, we’re really pleased to get him in,” explained Moors boss Lee.
“He brings some really good experience in this league and from the one above, so we’re excited to have in board.
“Olly has great quality, has bundles of energy and can play in a few different positions so his arrival gives us extra flexibility and strengthens our hand.
“I’d like to thank York for their help in getting the deal done and we look forward to welcoming him into the squad.”
Dyson’s loan, which will run until New Year’s Day, is subject to clearance from The FA and National League, but he has been given permission to feature in our friendly at Ashington on Tuesday night.
