A young football fan paid a flying visit to The Brewery Field last week during an incredible 48-hour challenge to raise awareness for the charity MIND.
Carter Pitney was a very welcome visitor to the Football Club last Friday as part of an amazing bid to visit 26 grounds around the UK starting with all the letters in the alphabet!
The journey began at Welling United on Thursday 8th August and ended at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium on Saturday 10th August, visiting clubs all across the country in between.
Moors’ Managing Director, Ian Geldard, was on hand to meet Carter and his father Dan during their stop at The Brewery Field amidst the amazing challenge.
“We believe that our beloved sport has the power to create positive change,” explained Dan, who has supported Carter in visiting over 300 grounds in recent years.
“Football clubs have a unique platform to reach millions of fans and supporters. By actively promoting mental health awareness, clubs can contribute significantly to breaking down stigma and encouraging open conversations.
“We hope that our visits highlight how teams, clubs, and even attendance at grounds can support this.
“We believe that Football is more than just a game; it’s a community. By prioritizing mental well-being, clubs can strengthen this sense of community and make a lasting impact on people’s lives.”
