Graeme Lee has further bolstered his squad ahead of this afternoon’s game with the signing of young defender Ryan Bartley on a one-month loan from Derby County.
The talented centre-back linked up with The Rams last summer following the expiry of his contract with Premier League outfit, Crystal Palace.
Bartley had been a regular in Palace’s Under-18s side and also gained senior experience in 2022/23 when he spent time on loan in National League South with Eastbourne Borough.
The highly rated 20-year-old featured 12 times in Premier League 2 for The Rams and also appeared in the Central League and Central League Cup.
A real threat from set-pieces, Bartley was named Premier League 2 Player of the Month in December after scoring twice in County’s 5-1 thumping of Reading in the month.
“We’re really pleased to welcome Ryan into the group,” Moors boss Lee told us.
“He’s a very talented young defender who is highly regarded at Derby so we’re thankful to them for allowing us to take him for a month.
“Ryan offers a strong presence and good defensive cover, but we know he can also be a menace in the opposition box so we’re looking forward to working with him.”
Bartley has been handed squad number 22 and will go straight into contention to make his Moors debut in today’s National League North fixture at Leamington.
