The Club can confirm that midfielder John Howard has re-joined his former side Bishop Auckland for an undisclosed fee.
Howard arrived at The Brewery Field during the summer after helping Bishops to win the Northern League title during the 2023/24 campaign.
However, he has found his time on the pitch limited during the first month of the new season with Moors and subsequently expressed a wish to leave the Club.
“John has become used to being in the starting eleven week in and week out,” explained Moors boss Lee.
“He spoke to me a week or two ago about his desire to be playing more regularly after not featuring in the first four games, and he underlined his unhappiness about being on the bench for us.
“Throughout his time at the Club he has shown a great attitude so he leaves with our best wishes, and I am sure he can go back to Bishops and be a real success.”
Howard’s return to Bishop Auckland is subject to clearance from the relevant authorities and he could be in contention to feature for them in their home game against Bridlington Town on Saturday.
