Excitement is building for Moors Under-18 side as they prepare to make their first step in this season’s FA Youth Cup at Morpeth Town on Friday evening.
In a quirk of the famous competition, Moors’ young guns were handed the same opponents as the Men’s First Team – albeit they have been drawn away from home.
They will be hoping they can follow in the footsteps of their senior counterparts who progressed in the FA Cup with a 3-1 win over The Highwaymen on Saturday.
Last term, the youngsters defeated Billingham Town at this stage of their FA Youth Cup before bowing out at the hands of Chester-le-Street United in the next round.
Friday’s First Round Qualifying tie is a 7pm kick-off at Morpeth’s Craik Park.
