We turn the focus on the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of Kidderminster Harriers’ National League North visit to The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Kidderminster Harriers
National League North
Saturday 5th October 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Kidderminster Harriers will be aiming to challenge for an instant return to the higher level after suffering relegation from the National League last term.
The Reds earned promotion through the play-offs in 2022/23 after an incredible run-in took them all the way to glory, but they struggled to get a foothold in the next division up.
Phil Brown arrived as boss for the closing part of the campaign but could not stop them from slipping back into National League North – now the assignment is to get them heading back in the right direction again.
Harriers began the season in fine fettle and won four of their first five outings to race towards the top of the table, but victories have been harder to come by in recent weeks and they’ve now lost three of their previous four league games.
However, their midweek replay win over Buxton in the FA Cup will have restored any dented confidence and they will be hoping to carry that on in County Durham on Saturday.
Previous Meeting
Kidderminster did the double over Moors during the 2022/23 campaign, running out 4-1 winners at Aggborough in September 2023 before enjoying a 2-1 triumph at The Brewery Field in the following February.
