Incredible Isaac Fletcher scored his tenth goal of the season, but Moors had to settle for a point from a competitive encounter with Kidderminster Harriers at The Brewery Field.
The midfield ace – who has reached double figures in all competitions in just 12 games – looked like being the match-winner again after a composed finish just before half time.
However, a spirited Harriers fightback saw Amari Morgan-Smith equalise in spectacular fashion on the hour for the visitors on the who could even have gone on to win.
A largely scrappy first half offered little in the way of goalmouth excitement, though it was Moors who carved out the first real chance when Matty Dolan’s cross from the left was headed over by Corey McKeown at the far post.
The goal on 40 minutes came out of nothing. A long ball forward was flicked on by Glen Taylor and Fletcher scampered through to produce a neat finish under Christian Dibble for 1-0.
Graeme Lee’s men started the second half powerfully too and could have gone further in front when Dolan’s right-wing corner was met by Callum Ross, but his downward header bounced up off the bar before being cleared behind.
Dolan wound-up a second corner and this time found Michael Ledger whose beautifully directed header across goal was flashing towards the net before being cleared off the line by a well-stationed defender.
Harriers boss Phil Brown made a double change, and this seemed to prompt a recovery from the visitors who were level on the hour. Danger man Maz Kouhyar rescued an overhit cross on the right of the area and lifted the ball back into the middle where Morgan-Smith arrived unmarked to finish with a brilliant overhead kick.
After that, Harriers looked the more likely winners. Kouhyar cut inside from the right to fire a ferocious effort on goal which Brad James did brilliantly to paw away across to his right.
Then, in injury time, the away side raced clear on the break and swept the ball into the path of Kouhyar once again on the right of the area only for him to drill a shot across goal and wide.
