Moors Ladies underlined their encouraging start to the new NERWFL Premier Division season with an emphatic win at Harrogate Town on Sunday.
Brent Smithson’s side are now sitting fourth in the table after their third victory from four outings so far as they produced a dominant performance to thump their hosts 6-0.
There was a competitive opening to the game and Moors didn’t find their breakthrough until the 25-minute mark when Autumn Colledge tucked home the first goal from the penalty spot.
The in-form attacker then doubled her tally just before half time when she got on the end of a precise cross from Hannah Knox to send Moors in 2-0 up at the break.
Holly Doogan made the points safe 10 minutes into the second half when she scored the third after excellent work from Lauren Gray in the build-up.
Moors continued to dominate and made it 4-0 on 65 minutes when Knox scored direct from a free-kick, before substitute Lily Jackson prodded home the fifth goal a minute later.
Jess Dawson then rounded off a superb individual performance with Moors’ sixth goal to add further gloss to a very satisfying victory.
