Isaac Fletcher has been rewarded for his astonishing start to the new campaign with the Vanarama National League North Player of the Month award for September.
The midfielder has quickly developed into one of Moors’ key players during the opening months of 2024/25, scoring four goals in August and continuing that form into last month.
He began September by netting twice in the 4-2 win at Radcliffe, bending home a free-kick in the first half before running the length of the field to score again near the end.
Fletcher also played a key role as Moors switched their attentions to the FA Cup, once again finding the net in a 3-1 triumph over Morpeth Town.
The 22-year-old star was at it again back in National League North the following weekend when his clinical last-minute finish rescued a point at Warrington Town.
He then rounded off a wonderful September by a scoring a sensational goal from 25 yards which proved to be the winner in Moors’ brilliant FA Cup triumph over Chorley.
Fletcher has now scored an incredible 10 goals in just 13 appearances in all competitions this season and has now been rewarded for those efforts with this individual accolade.
“Isaac has been absolutely brilliant so far this season and long may that continue,” said boss Graeme Lee.
“We could see towards the end of last season that his fitness was building and his impact on games was starting to grow – and he’s carried that on into 2024/25.
“He’s scored some crucial goals for us in league and cup, and I am just so pleased to see him get this recognition because he’s a great lad who works ever so hard.”
